What if Isaac Newton, Thomas Hobbes, Rene Descartes, Immanuel Kant, Karl Marx, Albert Einstein, Sigmund Freud, Crick and Watson (each, a once only affair) and the few others of equal rank there has been, each had available to him an insight to what his accomplishments would finally become? (We already know it, and therefore know more than any of them could ever have dreamed.) And what if each had before him in his own time, the sense that within seconds, minutes or a few hours, days or even weeks almost everyone on planet earth could be alerted to extraordinary events that just yesterday were unimaginable?

What if a new synthesis of natural and social science accessible to anyone with ordinary curiosity, routine education, and some persistence could be shown in a few seconds, minutes, hours etc to be the fulfilment of revolutionary potentials and a new enlightenment that was destined to arise from the moment a naked ape was thrust upon the breathtaking stage of nature? We are in a position act in ways that no previous generation could match.

New Unified Theory is a theory of everything like no other. It has the benefit of instantaneous global communications and a literate audience as never before. It also has a looming eco-cataclysm to concentrate the mind. S.O.S—save the naked ape!

Whereas so-called theories of everything aren’t quite two-a-penny there are a good many of them around. In every case however, they are one-sided and therefore in principle, fatally deficient. Excluding theories of God from what is meant by theories of everything, natural science has brought  forward a number of speculative candidates that are deficient precisely because at best they are purely rational, purely quantitative accounts of a purely material universe—its self-awareness is not taken into account.

Useful though these natural science candidates may be they are deficient precisely because they give no account of how science itself appeared. Science has no account of how science could have appeared, because it has and can have no purely scientific account of how human history evolved. In short, purely quantitative methods have no capacity to account for qualitative  phenomena. By definition therefore, natural science must leave out of account the most important feature in the whole universe—in a word, feeling, but as emotion! Physics, chemistry and biology have nothing to say about historical, self-conscious development and should therefore say nothing of it!

Natural science has no interest in and no means of accounting for the qualitative, emotional basis of human being, or for the role it played in the evolution of human history. Any so-called theory of everything therefore that failed to account more or less comprehensively for its own origins and emotional inner content is irredeemably deficient. This  points up what is special about New Unified Theory. Because New Unified Theory is grounded in a plain language synthesis of natural and social science, and at the same time is an at least adequate exercise in the art of communication—New Unified Theory is a theory like no other!

As its name implies, New Unified Theory is a wholly new formulation! It is a genuine theory of everything because it incorporates the both the best of natural science and the best available historical account of its own development. In the process therefore, New Unified Theory recognises the  qualitative features of feelings, motive and emotion as no less significant than the quantitative, purely mechanical features that comprise the material foundations for the appearance of everything else.
